Powers graduated from SUNY
Delhi in 2000 with an Associate’s Degree in Business
Administration and has worked in the accounting field ever since.
Chrissy spent 10 years working in a
public accounting firm where she began as a mere receptionist and
who’s skills were quickly recognized by the managing
partners. She was promoted to the position of payroll tax specialist
where she processed and maintained accurate payroll tax records and
filings for over 200 small to medium sized businesses.
Within two years she was again
promoted to sales tax specialist, where she was self-taught on all of
the current sales tax laws and regulations. This position involved
accurate sales tax reporting monthly, quarterly, and/or annually, sales
tax certificates, classification of repairs/capital improvement and
assisting on 5 sales tax audits.
In 2010 Chrissy left the public
accounting field to come alongside her husband,
“Preacherman” of “Preacherman Plumbing
& Heating, Inc.” Becoming a team member in this
industry opened her heart to want to serve and help other businesses.
She acknowledged that most business owners are skilled at their
industry and may not necessarily be skilled in
“paperwork.” Seeing too many small businesses fail
because of lack of organizational skills, missing tax filings,
inaccurate recordkeeping among many, is what called her to the mission
of “taking the paper out of paperwork” for business
owners. If you are skilled in plumbing, you should be able to focus on
plumbing, not worrying about tax filings, due dates, payables and
receivables. Chrissy found that by assisting her husband only an hour
or so a week greatly reduced his pressure.
She would now like to extend this
invitation to other business owners. For as little as an hour a week we
can take the paper out of paperwork, leaving you with just the work you
